Bank feed
A bank feed imports transaction data from a financial institution into accounting software.
How it works in the books
The feed reduces manual entry but does not determine whether a transaction is duplicated, correctly categorized, supported, or missing. It is an input to bookkeeping, not the completed control.
Example
A credit card payment may appear in both the bank and card feeds; the bookkeeper must match the transfer rather than record two expenses.
What can go wrong
Feed interruptions, duplicate imports, and incomplete historical ranges can leave the books wrong even when the current connection says it is healthy.
